In a market where everything costs more and few brands talk about it, Arctic went the other way. It received a government tariff refund and is spending that money on lower US prices.
In February 2026, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose sweeping import tariffs was unconstitutional. Companies that had been paying those duties and raising their prices to cover them, were now entitled to refunds. An estimated $166 billion in combined refunds is being paid out across the tech industry. Most companies are quietly keeping these refunds, but not Arctic. Apple alone is expected to receive an estimated $2.2 billion, Rather than passing it back to customers, Apple confirmed it will reinvest the funds in domestic manufacturing even though they adjusted their pricing to consumers to cover these duties. Sony and Nintendo have also taken similar positions.
What Arctic is actually doing
Following the refund of previously collected tariffs, Arctic began lowering prices across its entire US direct-to-consumer lineup. It is not only unwinding the SKUs that went up; every recovered dollar is going back through across-the-board cuts. The Arctic Promise stays active until every refunded dollar is paid back to customers, and that programme was still live as of early September 2026. This is not a permanent repricing. It is a finite pot of money distributed as discounts until it is gone, and when the refund runs out, prices rise again. The standout deal
The Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 has been clocked around $69.89, an all-time low for a 360mm AIO that launched in the first half of 2025 and used to draw recommendations near $125. That cut still held in September 2026 on Amazon and Arctic’s own channels. Newegg only has it from a marketplace seller at about $166, so buy it from Arctic or Amazon to get the deal. One caveat worth knowing
If you bought an Arctic cooler at the tariff-inflated price last year, you get nothing back unless you buy something new now. The money lands in new transactions, not old invoices. It is a promotional discount, not a direct refund to previous buyers. For anyone who has not bought yet, the discount is real and still live on Amazon and Arctic’s own store.
Why this is worth paying attention to
Into September 2026, GPU prices are still elevated, DDR5 is expensive, and most of the catalogue has been trending the wrong way for months. Arctic cutting prices is one of the few consumer-friendly moves in that stretch.
Arctic is also pairing the rollback with community initiatives by providing hardware donations and technical support to technology education programs and grassroots PC building communities across the United States. That’s the kind of thing you’d expect from a smaller company that actually wants a community to exist, not just a customer base to extract from.
